Most importantly, the newborn baby should sleep on a wide and safe surface. For this, the 2 most used measurements are 60x120cm and 70x140cm. Below we show more about them.
Baby crib measurements
Crib measures 60x120cm
This is the standard size and the most purchased by parents . The appropriate mattress size for this crib is 58x118x12cm . It is recommended that this difference is not more than 2cm, as the baby could catch a limb in the gap and injure himself. In addition, this 2cm gap allows you to add the crib linen below.
Crib measures 70x140cm
This is a very frequent option for some parents who expect a longer stay for their little ones in the crib.
When the baby is very small, it is necessary to take into account the size of the mattress that is going to be placed inside, it must fill the place destined for it as much as possible. The mattress size for this crib size is 68x138x12cm .
