The Montessori method is an alternative educational system that consists of giving the kids more independence in their daily tasks (playing, sleeping, eating, dressing…). It's created to provide an environment conceived from their perspective and in such a way that it facilitates their development and learning. It's more comfortable, more accessible and allows them to move freely in their personal space. In addition, the child who grows up in a Montessori bedroom is a freer child, with a faster learning speed, who learns by experimenting and who is able to fend for him/herself much earlier than other children.

Alondra's 70x140cm beds are made to support the weight of a child up to 5 years old.

At Alondra we recommend using this type of bed from the baby is one and a half year old. In the meantime you can use a crib. Although it would be no problem to get him/her used to it from the very beginning. Of course, as long as the child sleeps with some protective measuress.

Alondra's Montessori hut beds are specially designed according to the Montessori philosophy, which is why they are practically level with the floor. However, as we like to think of everything, our little beds have a height from the floor of 11cm (Homy) and 15cm (Indy), to avoid humidity from getting through the mattresss.
