The duvet fillings can be washed, but you must always follow the specifications on the label so as not to reduce the lifespan of the duvet. Our recommendation is not to wash it in the washing machine, but rather by hand or take it to the dry cleaners.
On the other hand, it is very important that you always make sure that it has dried properly so that dampness does not cause mould or deteriorate it. Drying and ironing specifications should also be taken into account.
The lifespan of duvet fillings varies depending on their quality and weight. You should replace it when you notice that it no longer protects you from the cold as it used to, or the filling inside no longer flows evenly, but clumps together.
If the filling is clumping into pockets and does not stay evenly distributed inside, it is likely that its thermal insulation power is being reduced, and this will affect your sleep.
