The best thing about the convertible cribs is that it allows to have all the essentials on hand in the same furniture: changing table, crib and chest. 3 pieces in 1!
During the first months of your baby's life you will use it as a changing table and a place to store their clothes, nappies, creams and all their accessories. But after these first months, the baby will be able to start sleeping in it and you will use it for all its functions: changing table, crib and chest.
Not at all! Together with the convertible you will receive 2 large 2-metre long beams and a set of slats for when you decide to disassemble your convertible; however, you will have to keep these pieces until then, as you will not need them before.
Our 60x120cm convertible cribs are reversible. They can be assembled with the drawers either on the right or on the left side.
In Alondra we have a solution for everything, even for the most absent-minded or forgetful ;)
If you are missing come hardware, you need to contact the after-sales department by mail postventa@alondra.es indicating the model of crib you have and the hardware that you are missing, so we can see if we have spare parts and give you the price. Once everything is clear, we will send them to the address you specify.
This same answer will be useful if you cannot find some hardware to reassemble it as a cot and/or if they have deteriorated over time and you need spare parts.
Practicality first and foremost! The railing of our 60x120cm convertible cribs can be moved up and down in 2 positions: one lower so that you can access the cot easily and comfortably; and one higher, so that the baby cannot get out.
To remove it completely you need to unscrew it. But, ATTENTION! We do NOT recommend it, as it could break in the long run.
The height of the rail from the bed base when in place is 64 cm in its highest position and 50 cm in its lowest position.
ATTENTION! It's important to take into account that the Up-Down system allows parents to access the interior of the cot without effort, but the baby should NOT sleep and be in the crib with the rail lowered.
This kind of crib can be used practically from 0 until approx. 18 years old. Unlike the 70x140cm convertible cribs, it's not necessary to use a crib or a co-sleeping crib for the first year, s a newborn baby can sleep in it perfectly well.
It seems like it won't fit in the room, right? Well, we tell you that convertible cribs (both 60x120cm and 70x140cm) with the changing table take up almost the same as a 90x200cm bed. That is, approximately 200cm long.
ATTENTION! As a youth room, you will need enough space to place a 90x200cm bed and a desk.
From the 60x120cm convertible crib later you will have the following pieces: 60x120cm crib, changing table, 90x200cm youth bed with a small integrated bedside table and a desk with 4 drawers.
Unlike the 70x140cm convertible cribs, the 60x120cm convertible cannot have additional drawers in the bottom of the crib, but they can be added in the in the bedroom stage. You can buy 2 drawers ref. J370G and ref. J370M, for more storage when placed them under a junior bed.
